By Leticia Olvera and Laura Escamilla

March 13, 2020

Last Saturday March 7th we celebrated the 15th National Tournament of Destination Imagination Mexico.

At Destination Imagination, we believe that when an educational experience is hands-on, collaborative and fun, students are empowered to take their learning to the next level and are excited to do so. DI provides unique educational experiences across seven project-based Challenge types–Technical, Scientific, Engineering, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Service Learning, and Early Learning.

DI fosters creative thinking, problem solving skills and teamwork.

Students from preschool and up to University levels participated in DI. We had a total of 205 teams which translates in 1440 team members and more than 3000 attendees to the event.

Destination Imagination Mexico team, alongside with San Roberto International School Campus Valle Alto and Prepa Udem Campus Valle Alto, organized the Tournament.

Team presented their central challenge solution and have and Instant Challenge. Also were games, art and crafts workshops, KEVAS,  workshop given by Legado Educativo Udem, Shop DI, Booksmart, food trucks and snacks.

Closing Ceremonies were at 5:00 pm,  The top 1st and 2nd place in Elementary teams, the top 1st and 2nd place Middle Level teams, and the top 1st and 2nd place Secondary Level teams will advance to Global Finals, May 20th – 23rd, 2020 at Kansas City, Missouri.
