Dear ISR Community,
We are very proud to celebrate that our San Agustín Campus has received its third recognition as an EcoSchool by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE)! We would like to congratulate and thank our student and parent Eco Teams for their dedication and active participation in environmental initiatives, including recycling, gardening, and many other projects. Their commitment and hard work have played an important role in achieving this recognition and continuing to promote sustainability throughout our school community.
As part of Bullying Prevention Month, we will be offering conferences for our upper elementary and middle school students, as well as special sessions for parents. Poster
We invite all parents to join us for “Connected Families: Prevention, Social Media Use, and Legal Consequences,” presented by Octavio Garza from Tentó Consultores. The conference will take place on October 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Valle Alto Campus and October 29 at 8:00 a.m. at San Agustín Campus. We encourage all parents to attend and kindly ask you to register for the session at your preferred campus using the following Link. Note: The conference will be held in Spanish, with simultaneous English translation available through your mobile phone. Parents wishing to use this service should bring their own headphones.
Next week we will celebrate ISR Unity Week, where students will engage in activities focused on empathy, respect, and inclusion. Together, we continue to foster a culture of kindness and unity in our school community.
On Wednesday, October 21st, we will celebrate Unity Day by wearing orange to show our commitment to kindness, inclusion, and bullying prevention.

Elementary and Middle School: Orange shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms.
Our students will participate in our International Fair on Friday, October 23rd. They are invited to wear a traditional outfit from any country or the country's jersey with jeans (optional).
During the week of October 19th to 23rd, the cafeteria will offer a different international food option each day for our students, teachers, and staff.
On October 20, NAE's Regional Boarding Manager, Arturo González, will host informative sessions on study abroad options in the US. Please be advised that we will conduct an emergency drill next week to ensure all students and staff are prepared in the event of a real emergency.

Every river starts at the sea, and our trash can end up in it. The rivers of our city flow all the way to the Gulf of Mexico, so caring for them is caring for the ocean.

Altar de Muertos – San Agustín y Valle Alto
One of the most beautiful Mexican traditions is celebrating our loved ones who have passed away every November 2nd with Day of the Dead altars. This tradition is filled with expressions of Mexican folk art, including sugar skulls, pan de muerto (Day of the Dead bread), papel picado (cut-paper decorations), traditional dishes, and other symbolic objects.
This school year, we will celebrate the lives of:
Rafael Martín del Campo: A Mexican biologist dedicated to the study of Mexico’s flora and fauna, particularly birds, reptiles, amphibians, and other groups, contributing significantly to our understanding of Mexican biodiversity.
Jane Goodall: She studied and protected chimpanzees, transforming our understanding of their behavior and promoting wildlife conservation.
Jacques Cousteau: He explored and documented the oceans, bringing the underwater world to millions of people and promoting the protection of marine life and the oceans.
This year, the items needed to set up the altar will be requested through PBS.We sincerely appreciate your valuable support and collaboration.

🦠 Flu season has begun. To protect the health of our school community, we ask parents to inform School Health if their child has symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or general feeling unwell.
The student should stay home until they have fully recovered, following medical recommendations.

Invitation to Third Parties
To facilitate the process for invitations to third parties and thus speed up the exit process, please use one of these two options:
1. For those people picking up students who are not parents of the school, add them as a drivers and give them authorization to pick up the children. The driver must download the Skolable App on the phone.
2. For ISR families, create a "round" in which the invited children are included
3. It is the responsibility of parents to delete permits when no longer needed.
Cafeteria Service
"La Casita" CAFETERIA offers service exclusively for elementary and middle school students as well as for staff members during recess and after school from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Our school has been using the OrderEAT app, specially designed so you can check the food your children eat.

Healthy Food
Dear Parents.
We inform you that according to the guidelines established by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) of the country, the food that will be offered in our school will follow the recommendations of healthy food.
These measures are intended to encourage proper eating habits in our students, promoting their well-being and development. Therefore, the products available in our cafeteria will be aligned with these provisions, prioritizing nutritious and balanced options.

Educando en Red
We are pleased to announce that we have begun activities for this cycle with Educando en Red, a network to which we belong and that reinforces our commitment to providing comprehensive support to our students and their families—fostering a more conscious, empathetic, and united educational community.
Each month, we will share relevant information through this newsletter, with the aim of continuing to grow together as a community.
What is Educando en Red?
Educando en Red is a civil society organization that promotes the comprehensive well-being and mental health of children and adolescents in Mexico by strengthening the support systems around them—parents, teachers, and caregivers.
The organization advocates for safe, nurturing, and educational environments where students can reach their full potential, ensuring their emotional, social, and personal development is protected.

Daycare and Preschool Snacks
At ISR we offer supervised snack service for preschool, the menu is overseen by a nutritionist, prepared by our kitchen staff, and distributed in the classrooms during snack time.

Extracurricular Activities
We offer a wide variety of activities for your kids to enroll in. Whether they have an interest in Fine Arts or Sports, sure they will find an activity that will let them develop beyond the academic field.

School Health Guidelines
Taking care of each other keeps our school community healthy.
Please take a moment to review the School Health Guidelines, which provide important information regarding the administration of medications and contagious illnesses.

Student ID Card Replacement
If you need to replace a student ID card, you must complete the following form.
The replacement fee is $150 pesos, which will be charged directly to your account.
Please note that the replacement process may take several weeks.
