We were thrilled to welcome Stephen Dunn, our Juilliard Music Curriculum Specialist for San Roberto International School, as he joined us for a vibrant and inspiring three-day visit to both our San Agustín and Valle Alto campuses. Stephen's visit is part of our ongoing partnership with The Juilliard School, a collaboration that brings the world-class Juilliard Creative Classroom Curriculum into our performing arts program and empowers students to think and grow as artists.

During his time with us, Stephen engaged deeply with students and teachers across several grade levels, immersing himself in classroom experiences and providing valuable mentorship and guidance to our music educators.

One of the highlights of the visit was a master class for the music teaching team, where Stephen demonstrated best practices in an elementary keyboard lesson. Teachers observed firsthand how to use effective questioning techniques and other high-impact strategies to elevate student engagement and deepen understanding of the Juilliard curriculum. Seeing these methods in action offered our educators fresh insights and tools they can apply in their own classrooms.

Beyond the master class, Stephen also spent time observing lessons, offering constructive feedback, and collaborating with teachers in lesson planning sessions. His thoughtful suggestions and creative ideas helped spark new ways of thinking about how to bring out the artist, and creative thinking, in every student.

Through these annual visits, our partnership with Juilliard continues to flourish, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in arts education. These moments not only enrich our students’ learning experiences but also serve as powerful professional development opportunities for our staff.

We are grateful for our time with Stephen this year and we look forward to continuing this inspiring journey together as our students continue growing and engaging in the magic of music and the arts!
