At San Roberto International School, we believe in the power of purpose-driven collaboration to inspire local and global change. The Nord Anglia Education (NAE) Social Impact Programme equips students, educators, and schools with the necessary skills, opportunities, and resources to amplify their voices and take meaningful action towards building a better world.

Collaboration with UNICEF: Advocating for the Future

Through NAE’s partnership with UNICEF, students engage deeply with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Key events like World Children’s Day and the NAE Student Summit provide platforms for students to engage in discussions and activities on pressing global issues. Additionally, schools can be recognized with the Social Impact Distinction, an award that celebrates a school’s commitment to embedding the SDGs and children’s rights into its everyday culture. San Roberto International School is proud to have achieved the Silver Status of the Social Impact Distinction for our dedication to these principles.

Driving Change with Social Impact Grants

The programme offers Social Impact Grants that allow students to turn their ideas into reality. These grants fund initiatives addressing the SDGs through community outreach or research-based projects. By providing financial support, the Social Impact Programme enables students to take direct action and contribute to creating sustainable change in their communities.

Building Leadership through Global Connections

At San Roberto, we nurture student leadership and advocacy skills through various well-designed activities and global opportunities. Whether participating in Model United Nations (MUN), contributing to the NAE Student Advisory Board, or joining clubs like The Prophet Newspaper or Girl Up!, students constantly hone their communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.

The NAE Student Summit, hosted at The Village School in Houston, Texas, in June 2025, will unite hundreds of NAE students to focus on advocacy and activism related to the SDGs. These events offer incredible opportunities for our students to engage in meaningful discussions with their global peers and specialists, preparing them to be leaders of change.

Opportunities for Growth: A Culture of Impact

In addition to the Summit, the Social Impact Club and other leadership platforms at our school provide students with diverse opportunities to share their ideas, engage with the local community, and strengthen their advocacy. Peer and expert talks featuring insights from UNICEF, The World’s Largest Lesson, and Compass Education offer inspiration and guidance to further student action.

Connecting Impact Across Nord Anglia Schools

Through the Social Impact Programme, San Roberto International School is part of a larger network of NAE schools. This global connection offers our students unique opportunities to collaborate with peers from other schools worldwide. Whether through in-person events or virtual platforms, students continuously learn, grow, and build the skills necessary to impact the world around them.

The Social Impact Programme is a testament to our belief that every student has the potential to make a difference. We empower the next generation of leaders by providing them with the right tools, opportunities, and platforms to shape a more just and sustainable future.
