Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign for 5th, 6th and 7th grade female students
We inform you about the vaccination campaign against the human papillomavirus (HPV) that we’ll carry out in collaboration with the General Hospital of the Family Medicine Zone No. 2 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS). HPV is a group of related viruses and there are more than 200 types. These are classified as low risk and high risk, with high risk being associated with more than 90% of cervical cancer cases. The main prevention form is the HPV vaccine, so we invite you to take this opportunity to protect and prevent diseases in our female students.
The campaign is for female students in 5th, 6th and 7th grades. It will take place at San Roberto on September 25th from 09:00am to 12:00 pm. The vaccine to be applied will be the HPV-4 vaccine (quadrivalent) that protects against 4 genotypes. The vaccine is applied intramuscularly in the arm and typically 2 doses are given (the second dose is 6 months after the first dose).
*For female students who have already had the first dose and who have already had more than 6 months, the second dose can be applied as well.
Please send the Vaccination Format (accepting or declining the vaccine) to the school health mail or in person at the school health department. The deadline for sending the form is Thursday, September 21, 2023.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments.
